Presenters: Doron Almagor, Judith Hamilton, Claire Lunney, and Clive Thomson In this eighth introductory session to the theory and techniques proposed by the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, we will continue to explore the basic concepts in their relation to Freud’s works, to post-Freudian authors, and to contemporary Lacanian authors as they illuminate and influence clinical practice. We will select the specific topic and seminar reference in relation to upcoming Lacanian conferences, so that our study will prepare us to make full use of them. We will notify potential attendees of the specifics as soon as possible. Group participation is encouraged in these sessions, which are each a mixture of theory and psychoanalytic practice. They will be made accessible and illuminating for everyone from novices in the field to participants from former sessions and series.
